At Birmingham Friends of the Earth, this year we’ve decided to have a proper look back through the year and think about all the things we’ve done. The results can be seen in three blog posts which use the presentation slides I did for our end of year celebration.
The first one covers our guerilla gardening exploits, lobbying politicians, the HS2 debate, Green Fairs, Aston University students and Swap Shops:
The second part covers our collaboration with an opera company, festivals and fundraising, responding to consultations, winning awards, organic food, renewable energy and cycling:
The third and final part tackles work on planning, waste campaigning, the Santa Parade for Buy Nothing Day, Stop Climate Chaos and our showing of Dirty Oil during the Durban talks, Final Demand and Close the Door – campaigns which you can read more about on this website:
So Merry Christmas to everyone, whether you’ve been involved with us this year or not. You’re very welcome to come and join us campaigning for a better environment in 2012!
