Warehouse News
Following its successful installation in October, we have hooked up our roof-top photovoltaic solar panel to a very meagre Christmas Tree in Reception, although the light doesn't move as it should (our 10v DC supply doesn't drive the tiny 10v AC motor!). However, Sandy's soldering 120 lights on a 10v Santa which will move, we hope!
A couple of Christmas ideas from the Warehouse: Bicycles, both new and second-hand, are available from Sprocket Cycles, which also sells a wide range of cycle parts - reflective sashes, lights and helmets. Really nice truffles and handmade chocolates are on sale in the One Earth Shop, which also stocks a range of soaps as well as Christmas puddings and mincemeat - all vegan, of course.
We've had a new print run of our popular Christmas Card Re-use labels (see 'Tips for a Green Christmas'). Don't forget you can buy a pack this year, so you can send your nicest cards back next year!
To Our Supporters
Normally, in December, you would receive a new
Supporter Discount label, to stick on your card.Due to the transfer of our database
to a Linux-based program, were not quite ready to print those out. Look
out for your 2006 label in your next exciting issue of Action Briefing. In the
meantime, your 2005 card will be honoured, for 10 per cent discount, in the
Warehouse Cafe, Sprocket Cycles and for stationery sales in Reception.N.B. We
do hope the database transfer goes smoothly, but a few errors may creep in,
possibly with the first or second reminders.
So, if you think anything is wrong, do please let us know. Then we can try and correct everything before the next mailout in February.

Where to recycle extra holiday waste?
The Warehouse, of course! Drop by over the holdiday (opening times here) and leave your recyclables with Reception.
