Media Stars Emerging from West Mids FOE Groups

Both Tom Helberg, Coventry FOE, and Jenny Thatcher, Birmingham FOE, made their respective TV debuts recently. Jenny was on Sky News for the Buy Nothing Day action in Birmingham City Centre dressed as a Santa warning the happy shoppers that “Christmas does not have to be about over consumption, stress and debt”.

Tom was on viewpointmidlands discussing resource management and the ills of our regional addiction to incineration. Well done to both of them and lets hope we see more of our activists gracing the screens, airwaves and columns of the regional, national and in Jenny’s case international media.

So just a quick, but huge, THANK YOU to all involved in West Midlands FOE activities during 2002 and lets hope we return well relaxed for a even more successful new year. Best wishes to you all for the mid winter break.
