Worcester FOE Take On Tesco

Worcester FOE are fighting the proposal to relocate a school from the St. Johns area of the City of Worcester to a location in open countryside. The proposal is to be funded by Tesco who would build a massive new supermarket on the central location of the current school while the new school would be located on Earls Court Farm.

So much for following the principles of sustainable development if all we do is substitute an out of town supermarket with an out of town school thereby reinforcing to the next generation that they have to have access to a car for doing the most basic of things.
