Generation Earth Restarts

Generation Earth - the new young person’s campaigning group - has had an exciting first month. As we gathered our forces and worked hard to get ourselves known, those infamous corporate delinquents Nike made the false move of giving a presentation at GE members Tianna and Isabel’s school. We leapt into action, responding with a poster campaign telling classmates “The Truth about Nike” and designed a subvertisement of the Nike swoosh.

Next, we are joining with National FoE to present more than 3000 petitions signed by young people asking for Real Food. We will present the petitions to Cadburys in a spectacular media stunt (watch this space) to highlight the fact that the Government’s Pesticide Residues Committee this month reported to have found lindane in Cadbury’s dream chocolate (white chocolate bar).

We are always looking for new members, so if you’d like to join, if you could help by putting our posters about, or would be interested in a presentation to your school or youth group, please get in touch with Fran (0121 446 5793) or Pip (449 7432), or talk to Jenny at The Warehouse.
