Coventry FOE

Coventry FOE have scored a couple of victories for urban green space against strong opposition from both the city’s football club and its rugby club. In both instances new infrastructure demanded by both organisation would have led to destruction of public green urban space with a high quality of wildlife habitats.

In both instances the group has managed to hold back the developments and introduce much better protection. Indeed in the case of the soccer academy the decision which was guaranteed was put off until a site visit due to persistent campaigning by Coventry FOE.
