Birmingham Friends of the Mars makes their yearly phone call to us (hey, have you seen the long distance phone charges?) They are celebrating the success of their long campaign to ensure 100% of Mars vehicles don't need roads and are 100% solar powered. The speed limit has been kept down to about one metre per week and air-bags can be left behind at home. There's plenty of time to take holiday snaps and dig holes in the sand. Martians support the planet-wide grid of road bumps and never complain of traffic congestion.
