Well all the hard work for the Glastonbury Festival has paid off. We raised over £3,000..... How did we do that I hear you say......? Well it was all based around the property lock-ups of which we ran 3. Property lock-ups are where folks can put their belongings, free of charge, for our volunteers to look after. The lock-ups operate 24 hours a day from the Wednesday to the Monday inclusive, over the festival. In all there were 9 lock-ups, operated by various other groups such as Brighton Peace Centre, Yorkshire CND, Youth CND, CND Cymru and the Isle of Wight CND. Each group gets a donation from the festival as payment.

Thanks go out to everyone who worked on the Friends of the Earth Birmingham lock-ups, a total crew of 70 people! We will be doing the same again next year, hopefully it won't rain again...!!!!! If you think you might be interested in helping next year then drop me a line, work on building next year's crew will probably start shortly after Christmas '97.

Quiz nights are due to start up again sometime in October so watch this space........
