End of the line for Action Briefing Ed

As many of you are aware, I will be leaving Birmingham FoE as the paid Campaigns Support Worker at the end of August after two years in the post. My place will be taken by an as yet unappointed new person who will be your main campaigns contact from September (or possibly October, depending on notice periods and what not).

A big part of my job, and probably the most enjoyable, was producing Action Briefing, a role I first took on jointly with Karen Leach three years ago. During my time as Editor I have driven the campaigners to near distraction with my insufferable perfectionism, inflicted some truly appalling puns and atrocious wordplay on our readers, and missed more deadlines than I care to remember. Still, I'd like to thank all the people who have contributed to the newsletter during my tenure, especially the regulars, Dave Clare, Karen, Chris and Martin. Thanks also to Dawn and Les at Regency Press, and the small army of volunteers who provide the printed address labels, make sure the mail-out gets done, and distribute finished copies to the far corners of Birmingham
