Are you a recycling guinea pig?
Anxious to improve its recycling performance, Birmingham City Council is experimenting with doorstep collections of garden waste, paper, bottles and cans.
Nearly 50,000 households in the south-west of the City, served by the Lifford Lane depot, Kings Norton, have been identified as guinea pigs for the £500,000 pilot scheme, which will run for 26 weeks, beginning on Monday 20th June.
Is your household one of the lucky 50,000? If so we'd really like to hear from you. Do you like the idea? Have you been given enough information? We'd also like to hear from you once the scheme starts, to see how you are getting on.
Please call me or Kate Nancarrow at Birmingham Friends of the Earth Tel: 0121 632 6909 or email info@birminghamfoe.org.uk if you can help.
