Fundraising
By the time you read this we will have completed a street collection on June
2nd. We raised a magnificent £380.17 for our campaigning funds. Many thanks to all those who took part!
We have been offered a leafleting contract for the city council's Paperchase (doorstep paper recycling) scheme around Birmingham. This helps our campaigning in three ways:
1. Money for our campaigning funds
2. Publicity for doorstep recycling - as befits the 21st century!
3. Publicity for Birmingham FOE
We will be delivering something like 25,000 leaflets which will take perhaps 190 hours' work. The leafleting will take place in June/July at various locations around Birmingham.
Can you offer us an hour or so's help with this in your area? It will help us enormously to make up the funds we usually get from Glastonbury and directly increase Birmingham's recycling figures!
