Warehouse News

On 1st April 1977, Birmingham FOE took possession of the Warehouse.
So Easter Monday 2002 sees our 25th Anniversary. The 25 years have been very eventful - those of you who were around in 1998 may have witnessed our Warehouse 21 party & exhibition (some of the photos can still be seen in the kitchen, etc.). Archive Newsletters going back to 1976 also make fascinating reading - they are available to view in our Resource Room.

Good & Bad News?

The Good News is that we've survived all those years, and are still here! Some of us feel that survival is due to the gradual development of The Warehouse, rather than the Millennium Point-type, headline-grabbing stuff. But how are we to cope with the ever-expanding City Centre - and will we eventually be gobbled up by it?!

Bank Holiday Warehouse Opening Hours

May Day Closed Mon 6th May

Queen's Golden Jubilee Holiday Closed Mon 3rd & Tues 4th June

Paint Wanted

The mural on the end of the Warehouse is looked a bit faded. During the next few months we'll be making a few improvements. Mandie, our current 'Artist in Residence' needs paint for this. Don't worry too much about the colour, or type.

As well as the sea & the whale, there are flowers, trees, etc. Any paint we don't use on the mural could probably be used in other areas of the Warehouse.

Donations of paint can be left in Reception, anytime we're open.
