Weekend Trip
Birmingham FOE are organising a weekend trip to the Centre for Alternative Technology
in Machynlleth from 25th - 28th May. This involves staying in one of the centre's
grass-roofed Ecocabins, monitoring renewable energy and water useage, doing a
little practical volunteer work, walking (in any non-restricted areas), seeing
around the centre (which is very inspiring) and plenty of good food and drink.
We went last year and had a fantastic time.
If anyone would like to come with us the accommodation charge is £30 altogether
for the three nights, plus money for food and travel. There are 18 places in
the ecocabin and at present there are about 8 places left, although there is
