Regional Planning Guidance
The submission had to be in on January 30th so by the time you read this West
Midlands FOE's contribution will have been completed. If you would like to see
what we have contributed either have a look on the website or ring Chris for
a copy. We have tried to make sure that the three themes of Tomorrow's World,
i.e. -
1. Ecological Limits: Humankind's use of environmental resources must be reduced
to within sustainable levels;
2. Fair Shares: Everyone's needs being met, globally;
3. Futurity: Ensuring there are sufficient resources to meet the needs of future
generations
are integral to our response. The next formal stage in the process will be the
Examination in Public to be held in June in Birmingham. We will be preparing
for this over the next few months and will hopefully see members of various
FOE groups playing a role in these important discussions.
