A fantastic route from the vale of the River Avon up across the open hills of the Cotswolds varied cycling with sweeping views, hidden valleys with shaded lanes, woods, stone walls and wildflowers. The road is rolling, so the hills are rewarded with a freewheel afterwards. Old inns in beautiful villages offer welcome opportunities to take a wellearned break before arriving to refreshments, music and a beer tent at the finish in Oxford.”
