Dear Charles
I am very sorry I cannot attend your rally on Sunday 19th September, please accept my apologies. Other commitments mean that I am unable to be with you in body, however, I am certainly with you in spirit.
If you are able to read out the following message below to all those attending, I would be most grateful.
The campaign against the Birmingham Northern Relief Road that your communities have fought has been nothing short of magnificent. You have had major successes and although you have suffered some setbacks, now is not the time to be considering stopping the campaign.
As you are aware, Midland Expressway Limited is under new ownership. The new owners must be told that the BNRR is unwarranted, unwanted and imposes an unacceptable cost to our communities and environment. In short, anyone or anything to do with the BNRR is unwelcome around here.
I will continue to publicly support the fight against the BNRR. I wish you well with your rally today.
Best wishes
Brian Jenkins MP.
